Terms & Guarantee

Last updated 21 June 2026 · Jump to the guarantee →

Your rights come first. Nothing on this page limits or replaces your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). The promises below are additional, voluntary commitments we make on top of those rights.

Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Fight My Fine is a self-help tool that helps you draft an appeal or leniency letter for an Australian fine. We are not a law firm, we are not affiliated with any council, state revenue office or toll operator, and we do not provide legal advice. You are the author and sender of every letter — we never lodge anything on your behalf.

2. What we provide

You answer a short questionnaire, we show you a free case-strength check, and — if you choose to pay — we generate an editable letter for you to review, edit, and send yourself to the issuing authority. The reviewing officer at that authority makes the final decision, and the outcome depends on the merits of your case.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Pricing & payment

We charge one flat, all-in (GST-inclusive) price per letter: $10 for parking and unpaid-toll fines and $15 for all other fine types. You only pay after you've seen your free case-strength check. Payments are processed by Stripe. Promotional discounts (including any launch offer) are applied at checkout and are subject to their own limits and expiry.

5. No outcome guarantee

We can't and don't guarantee that your fine will be withdrawn, reduced, or that any particular outcome will result — that decision rests entirely with the issuing authority. Our case-strength check reflects how strong your grounds are, not a prediction of the result.

6. Not for court matters

Our letters are for the dispute or review stage only. They are not prepared for court proceedings. If your matter has escalated to court or you've been charged with a serious offence, please see a qualified lawyer.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to your non-excludable rights under the ACL, our liability for the service is limited to re-supplying the letter or refunding the fee you paid for it. We are not liable for how an authority decides your matter.

8. Privacy

We collect only what we need to draft your letter and to administer the guarantee below. We delete the photo of your fine 90 days after your letter is generated. Where you claim under the guarantee, we keep a limited guarantee record — your case-strength rating, notice number, the letter, and any decision you send us — for up to 12 months so we can review the claim, then delete it. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to help us understand how visitors use the site — such as which pages are viewed and where visitors come from. This data is aggregated and is not used to personally identify you, and you can opt out via your browser settings or Google’s opt-out browser add-on. See our Privacy Policy for details. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Our Guarantee

Quality promise (every letter)

If your letter has obvious mistakes, leaves out details you gave us, or fails to generate after payment, email us at contact@fightmyfine.com.au and we'll fix it or refund you — no fuss. This applies to every letter, whatever its rating.

Strong-grounds promise — money back

If our free case-strength check rated your grounds Strong and the issuing authority still rejects your appeal in full, we'll refund the full fee you paid for that letter.

You're covered when all of these are true:

What you get: the full fee paid for that letter, refunded to your original payment method, normally within 10 business days of us confirming your claim. One refund per letter.

Not covered by the Strong-grounds promise: grounds we rated Moderate or Limited (including discretionary leniency requests — we don't rate those Strong); letters you didn't send, sent late, or changed so they no longer reflect what we generated; any outcome that isn't a full rejection (a reduction, caution, warning or payment arrangement all count as the letter working); matters taken to court; cases where the authority's decision shows the factual basis you gave us was not borne out; and claims made without the authority's written decision or more than 30 days after it.

How to claim: submit your notice number and a copy of the authority's written decision at fightmyfine.com.au/claim — or email them to contact@fightmyfine.com.au.

Fight My Fine is not a law firm and this page is not legal advice. The issuing authority makes the final decision and outcomes depend on the merits of your case. Questions? contact@fightmyfine.com.au.
